A triumphant return to posting with one that nobody is interested in

Tomorrow, the Premiership returns to action. I missed the start of the other English divisions last week, but I had planned to preview all the leagues. This year I feel like the Premiership isn't all that interesting, but I still have hope that some team that should be destined for mid-table obscurity can jump up and surprise the big 4. Probably not though. The battle for UEFA spots should be better, and the bottom should also provide some entertainment.

Keep bookmarked for laughs.

Premiership

Champions: Chelsea - an easy pick, but there's no real way to pick against them. Strongest in all parts of the field, except maybe up front. The only chance I see of others taking the title is if they get sidetracked in Europe.

Runners up: Manchester United - Going against instinct here. I figure a close call for 2nd-4th. Unsure if Van Der Sar is their answer in goal, but thinking Howard gets another chance soon.

Champions' League Slots: Arsenal & Liverpool - I actually think Liverpool might have the second best team this year, but fixture fatigue will cost them. Arsenal makes a run in Europe.

UEFA Slots: Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Middlesbrough - Spurs are the surprise team of the season. Figure Villa and Bolton also close.

Relegated: Fulham, West Bromwich Albion, Wigan Athletic - Fulham sucks. Things will catch up with the Baggies. Wigan will be playing in front of exactly nobody in January. Other bad teams include West Ham, Sunderland, Pompey and surprisingly Everton takes a big tumble.

League Championship

Champions: Sheffield United - Good start so far, but I had a feeling about them anyway. It's well past time for a Sheffield team back in the Premiership.
Runners Up: Preston North End
Playoffs: Derby County, Norwich City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Queens Park Rangers. QPR is the surprise team. Derby go up.
Relegated: Millwall, Brighton and Hove Albion, Hull City.

League One

Champions: Bradford City
Runners Up: Oldham Athletic
Playoffs: Nottingham Forest, Tranmere Rovers, Brentford, Port Vale
Relegated: Rotherham, Yeovil, Colchester, Milton Keynes Dons

League Two

Champions: Leyton Orient
Runners Up: Oxford United
Third: Darlington
Playoffs: Notts County, Wycombe Wanderers, Macclesfield Town
Relegated: Mansfield, Rushden & Diamonds
